Virginia Beach, Va. (11/07/19) – Karsten Nielsen, President & COO, Hardware and Cellular PVC Division was presented with The Patriot Award by Walter Goodwyn, Area Chair of Virginia ESGR, in recognition of ongoing efforts made by the Company to support employees’ participation in the National Guard and Reserve.
Nielsen was nominated for the award by Matthew Hersey, Supply Chain Manager, who is a member of the U.S. Army Reserve.
The Statement of Support was signed by Edward A. (Buzz) Heidt, Jr., Chairman/CEO of The PENROD Group.
ESGR (Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve) the lead U.S. Defense Department program promoting cooperation and understanding between civilian employers and their National Guard and Reserve employees, sponsors a Statement of Support awards program designed to recognize employers that are supportive of their employees’ participation in the National Guard and Reserve where employers can sign a pledge to support the military service of their employees.
